Well i won a comp last year with ginsters for 2 to be a zoo keeper at chessington zoo for the day. Our agreed day finally came and today me and my partner have worked in the zoo.
This morning we fed and cleaned the big cats, Ashok the lion, leopards, tigers and fossa. This afternoon we worked with the presentation team with the parrots, binturong, rats, sealions.
It has been a fascinating and memorable day - loved it! Just looked on their website for the cost for 1 to be a zookeeper for the day and discovered it is £165 so not to be sniffed at.
The highlight of the day for me was being up close to Ashok the male lion his roar in real life is very threatening and LOUD!! Brilliant though, he is one majestic fellow.
