Exclamation *README* The beginner's guide to winprizes.co

    Welcome to winprizes.co!

    What is Winprizes.co?

Winprizes.co is MCBuckingham's brand new sister site to the ever-popular money saving Frugallerforum.co.uk. Comps were always very popular among Frugallers, so we've created a site dedicated to them. Winprizes.co brings you the best competitions and prizes on the internet all on one easy to use site.

How do I join in the prize-winning fun?

To take full advantage of the forums and receive notifications when your posts are responded to, you should register here. It's free and takes seconds.

Once you've registered, why not say hello here?

How can I benefit from Winprizes.co?

If you return to the forum homepage, you'll find many categories of prizes currently available online or offline.

    What is the winner's section?

Please check out our winners section where members keep you up to date with their latest wins.

If you're a regular comper, you should keep your own winner's diary. This will help you keep tabs on what you've won. Once you've created your diary, a staff member will sticky the thread for you for everybody else to read about your success. Create your diary here.

As well as the diaries, we're looking for induvidual threads for each and every win you have. When you create a thread in the winner's "I've won" area, it will automatically appear in the "Latest Prize Winners" box at the top Left of every page allowing other members to share in your joy and invite them to congratulate you.

I've seen a competition I want to share. How do I tell members about this?

Great! All contributions are appreciated by the winprizes.co community, whether it's something you've seen in the paper, the local supermarket, or somewhere else online, we want to know about it! Just browse to an appropriate category and click "Post New Thread".

Don't worry too much if you're not sure if it's in the right section. A moderator will move it to a more appropriate place for you and let you know.

How do I keep a record of the competitions I've entered?

Underneath each competition you'll see a button for "Thanks, I've entered". When you've entered a comp, click this button and your username will appear under the post. This will help you avoid entering a competition twice. We'll soon be adding a page summarising the competitions you've entered.

Even if you don't need this function to keep tabs on what you've entered, please click it anyway if you do enter, this passes on your thanks to the contributor and also adds to your tally of competitions you've entered through winprizes.co (displayed in your profile).

What's the Newbie member of the month competition?

Every month we'll award a cash prize to the newbie member who we think has made the best contributions to the forum. More information to follow.

    What else is going on?

We'll be adding more sections and features over the next few months so make sure you stick around.

For more general forum usage questions please visit our FAQ section, or post your questions in the general chat area.

Thanks for reading and GOOD LUCK!

    Hi,

there should be a presentation thread, I think, as, anyhow everybody needs to gather 5 posts before posting a link and ... almost everybody ... needs to post a link ....

    Hi Claudia,

Welcome to the forum! Sorry, what do you mean "presentation thread"? You mean introductions?

We'll look at reducing the amount of posts required before links are posted, to perhaps 3.

Rather than have a separate section, we've included it in the general chat:

    Forum Announcements and General Chat

Feel free to create a thread there and introduce yourself. Some will follow.

We'll perhaps look at adding a dedicated section for intros and move the threads to there.
